Fluoride Treatment

No Needle Numbing

We offer multiple oral debridement types using both ultrasonic and hand scaling techniques to effectivly remove calculus "tartar" and bacteria "plaque" and provide education on at-home oral care techniques to address and prevent gum disease and cavities.

Fluoride Treatment

No Needle Numbing

Your comfort is very important to us at Shimmering Smiles which is why we offer two forms of needle free numbing. We offer Oraqix which is applied gently along your gumline to select areas or your entire mouth (whichever you prefer) and in as little as 30 seconds provides sufficient anesthesia for most patients  or we can apply a topical flavoured numbing gel in areas you'd prefer to be numb.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride treatments have a positive impact on our oral health by assisting in the prevention of cavities, root sensitivities and helping to strengthen weakened tooth structure. Fluoride varnish is a dental treatment that can help prevent and slow down tooth decay or stop it from getting worse and also helps with sensitivity.

Sealants

Fluoride Treatment

Sealants are a comfortable, low cost way to protect your teeth from decay. They work by sealing the "cracks" & "grooves" in the back teeth that are more prone to cavities. Sealants are typically done on children ages 6-12 when permanent molars begin to erupt.

Desensitization

Toothbrush abrasion, recession or grinding your teeth are some of the reasons your teeth may be sensitive. You may need help from your dental hygienist to help control the sensitivity by having a desensitizing agent applied and by discussing potential causes of the sensitivity.
